View pointing 2 ~ Drama

In Drama, we are learning about improvising techniques and ways. We did multiple drama games.

This lesson we focused on Shape and Kinetic response and resilience training

ways we showed it :

• When someone would move another person will either copy the action or just stand there doing their own thing ( which is the whole point of kinetic response ) 
• When you are on stage you got to act like your character if someone makes you laugh you make sure not to because of that apart of the training.... not to laugh.

View Points ~Drama

In drama, we are learning all these different techniques. For this point, it is view pointing. View pointing is an actors point of view there are nine different viewpoints.

Viewpoints of space ( Spataitial Relationships, Architecture, Floor Pattern)
Viewpoints of the Body  ( Shape, Gesture)
Viewpoint of Time  ( Kinaesthetic response, Repetition, Duration, Tempo)

Spatial Relationships:
This is the distance between the stage, body distance, body to objects, body to body, or an object/piece of architecture.


Architecture:
The physical environment in which you are working with and how aware of space/movement

Floor Pattern:
It is a floor pattern that actors may choose. This determines how the actor gets to place to place.


Shape:
It's peoples body relating to one another to make a certain type of body shape in space.

Gesture:
A movement involving a body part/s that gives shape to express what you are talking about. It's another way to get a point across in a story.

Kinaesthetic Response: 
This is a physical reaction to something which occurs outside you.

Tempo:
The rate or speed at which a movement occurs. For example, fast or slow something is happening.

Duration:
How long a movement or sequence of movement continues.

Repetition:
Repeating something on stage. It can be an exact copy or it could be a variation.

Grit:
Meaning it is resilience. Never giving up. Having a growth mindset.

Mask~ Drama

In Drama, we are looking at comedia style stuff that involves being a character with or without a mask so we watch taming of the shrew and all that and how people preform with facial expressions with or without a mask on.

So then we created a mask for ourself so we looked at all the masks, picked one out and made it out of paper mache. So here is my process...



I chose the one with the pointy nose because I wanted mine to stand out and seem unique, well all the mask was unique but this one stood out to me. Mine turned out good but there was some hole everywhere so I adapted to it and made it look like my person was the plage doctor that is starting to have the plage.

My one challenge was to make the mask because I have never made a paper mache mask before.
I was very surprised that it came out good because I thought it would be a flop.

c. What does the author of this play want the audience to know? That it is fine to be able to have these thoughts about someone but don't become too hung up and don't pretend like nothing has happened.

Theatre Sports - Drama

In drama, we are learning about improvising so the way we practice improvising is to play games. The games we played was 3 words while we are doing a physical movement. Me and my buddy was improvising going on holiday to Disneyland but we ended up driving there but we killed a guy with our car.

Also, we are performing a piece in the musical Carrie with the song " In" that's gonna be our class number pice.

Drama- Animal Show

What does a children's show need?
we are doing a 20-minute show appealing to 5-7 year-olds. What we got so far is...

Focus - be nice to animals,

Actions - Comedy/Interaction - kids up/dancing; questions

Roles - Animal (real); costumes, masks; tricks - hoop jumping

Time - 20 minutes

Tension - Hurt, SPCA stories of abuse -> Rescue

Space - Auditorium, need to look at the bookings.

2. educate people on story's of cruelty of the animals then tell them how they/we helped/ rescued.

Drama Refection

My character was a type of flirty girl, pretty nice and sweet.

I think I did pretty good channelling my character's personality

I found it challenging to find what type of voice to put her in.

Refection in Drama

In drama and Music, we are studying Musical Theatre. For my group performance, we are doing Parliament the musical.

Things to cover

• Parliament the musical is about the Labour, NZ first (this is a New Zealand play Btw), National and Greens party in Parliament debating about why should a Christan Muppet take away a child to do memes.
• We just rehearsed our lines and our solos.
• Nathan, Shikobi, Logan, Kaiden and Me (Meagan) and I'm Labour
• We just need more practicing on the lines and the solo so it can be perfect.
