Walking in straight lines

Aim:
I want to find out if we need our senses to walk in straight line.

Hypothesis: I predict that if you don't have your senses (sight, smell, taste, hearing, touch) then you cant walk in a straight line.

 Equipment:

  1. Blindfold to stop us from seeing
  2. Cotton wool to stop us from hearing and smelling
  3. Bucket for our head to stop the wind
Method:I am going to attempt to walk in 200m straight line to a stake in the ground.

Put some cotton wool up your nose to stop yourself from smelling that lovely baking smell that will help you with your direction

Put a bucket on my head but I don't have time

Results:
I started to walk straight then I felt like I was but I was in't

Burning Magnessium

Aim
I want to find out what happens when I burn Magnesium

Hypothesis
I  predict that the Magnesium i will give off blue and white flames.

Equipment
Bunsen Burner
Heat Mat
Magnesium
Scissor Tongs
Safety Glasses

Method

  1. Get your equipment.
  2. Light the Bunsen burner.
  3. Hold the magnesium in the blue flame with the scissor tongs.

Result
When I burned the solid grey Magnesium I saw flames, light, a white spark.

Discussion
Why did the Magnesium glow brightly?
The Magnesium reacts with Oxygen to make Magnesium Oxide.

Conclusion
My hypothesis was that it will have blue flames. I was incorrect. It actually glowed into a whitish color.

Evaluation
Other experiments related to this I could do are:

* Do all metals glow brightly?
*How hot burn the Magnesium get to before it reacted?
*Why did it have a white light and not blue or green?
*Did it make any other chemicals?

Writing a scientific Report

Aim:
This is what I want to find out.

Hypothesis: (Hi poth ee sis
This is an educated guess.

Equipment:
This is a list of the stuff I need.

Method:
Theses are step-by-step instructions.

Results:
Theses are my observations ( what I can see, smell, feel, hear, taste)
Also, I need to do a graph.

Discussion:
This is where I explain the results.

Conclusion:
This is were I say if my hypothesis was correct.

Evaluation:
This is a reflection on what I could have done better
